Choosing your hockey surface

Synthetic hockey turf — sand-filled or water-based — gives consistent ball roll, better drainage and year-round playability, which is why it is now standard for competitive hockey, despite the higher upfront cost. Natural grass grounds are cheaper to install but demand heavy maintenance and are weather-dependent, with less consistent play quality.

What the work includes

Sub-base and drainage engineering, turf laying, line marking and perimeter work. All synthetic installations follow FIH standards for pile height, drainage rate and shock absorption.
